Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

To make meatballs, we need to boil rice. To do this, we thoroughly rinse it with water. We do this in order to remove dust, dirt, and talc from cereals (it is often used to make rice marketable and to increase the shelf life of the product). Fill the rice with cold water. With light movements of the hand, mix and drain the liquid. Then pour clean water again and repeat the procedure. Do it until the water becomes transparent.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

After washing, boil the rice. Combine rice and minced meat. Mix the boiled rice and minced meat. Salt. You can add your favorite spices. For example, coriander, basil, garlic, a mixture of peppers. You can also add green onions, dill, parsley. Mix everything and proceed to the formation of meatballs. It is better to do them with wet hands. I usually put a deep bowl of cold water next to it. And after forming each meatball, I dip my hands in water again.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

In order for the meatballs not to burn to the bottom of the pan, we spread fresh carrots grated on a coarse grater. Carrots can be replaced with cabbage leaves. We also put them on the bottom of the pan.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Then spread the meatballs on top of the vegetables. It is advisable to put them in one row. If you have a small diameter saucepan, and there are a lot of meatballs, then you can have two rows. To do this, put more grated carrots between the rows. Or cabbage leaves.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Water and tomato paste will be used as filling. Tomato paste can also be replaced with ketchup. And you can also use sour cream or mayonnaise. Mix water and tomato paste, you can add a little salt. Pour the meatballs. You can put a couple of bay leaves to give the dish a more piquant taste. And put it on the stove. Cook the meatballs for about 40 minutes. After the liquid boils, turn down the heat.

You can serve meatballs with pasta, mashed potatoes, boiled rice, buckwheat. And you can take a salad of fresh vegetables as a side dish. Meatballs are perfectly combined with many products. So I think it won't be difficult to pick up a side dish.
Meatballs can be sprinkled with chopped herbs, dill, parsley.
Cook with pleasure!
