    1. Wash the cabbage, tomatoes, and apples and pat them dry with paper towels. Shred the cabbage. Remove the stem ends from the apples and tomatoes, then cut the tomatoes into fairly thin slices. Core the apples and cut them the same way as the tomatoes.
    1. Cut the washed pork and ham into large pieces.
    1. Add the rendered lard to the slow cooker insert and heat it on the "Sauté" setting (you can also use the "Custom/Multi-cook" setting).
    1. Add the pork to the insert and fry, stirring, for 8 minutes; then salt it and add the spices (peppercorns, bay leaf).
    1. Peel the onions and garlic. Cut the onions however you like (cubes or quarter-rings) and finely chop the garlic.
    1. Add half the onion, garlic, and cabbage to the insert, then lay in the ham. Top with the remaining cabbage, onion, and garlic.
    1. Sprinkle with salt and pour in the water.
    1. Set the cooker to "Stew" for 1 hour.
  • Enjoy!
