Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Beef liver is washed under running water, remove the film, making a small incision along and pulling it with your finger. Cut the liver into small pieces, cut it into several layers, stack them and cut them in the middle lengthwise, and then crosswise into pieces. If the liver is dark red, it can be soaked in milk for about an hour. A good product can have a color from dark red to brown.
Step 2:
Peel onions, cut into halves of rings or cubes. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan with a thick bottom. We warm it up. We put the prepared onions on the oil. Fry it until transparent.
Step 3:
We roll the beef liver in flour, put it to the onion in a frying pan, fry it until it gets a light blush, stirring it periodically with a spatula so that the liver is fried on all sides until it is ruddy.
Step 4:
Put sour cream in a bowl, add salt, ground black pepper. Sour cream is better to take with a high percentage of fat content, thick. If desired, you can add any more spices. Pour water into a bowl with sour cream, mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Step 5:
Pour the sour cream sauce into the pan with the liver, mix. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for about 20 minutes. Then remove the lid, stir and simmer without a lid for about 7 minutes so that the sauce thickens a little. Turn off the fire, sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs.
Step 6:
We serve the liver immediately to the table while the dish is hot, if desired and to taste with a side dish, for example, with stewed vegetables. It turns out to be doubly useful, but not very high in calories. Bon appetit!
