Prepare the ingredients. Beef meat is tough and dry, so it requires a long cooking time. But the dishes from it turn out very tasty. It is better to take young beef, then the meat will become tender and juicy after cooking. A piece of meat is washed well, you can even soak it, leave it in cold water for a couple of hours. Cut the meat into small cubes, rinse it again. We put the pieces of meat on a paper towel, let them dry.
Walnuts are washed, dried in a microwave oven or in a dry frying pan. Finely chop the nuts with a knife or grind them with a blender.
Prunes are washed, poured with hot water, left for 15 minutes so that it swells slightly. Dry the prunes on a paper towel. Cut the prunes into two or four parts, depending on the size of the dried fruits.
We put pieces of meat on a dry frying pan with a thick bottom, cover it with a lid, let the meat stew in its own juice. Then we remove the lid, evaporate the liquid from the meat over medium heat. When the liquid evaporates, pour vegetable oil, fry the meat until it is browned, turning it over. Add prunes, salt to the meat, pour water so that it covers the contents of the pan. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the meat with prunes over low heat for about 1 hour. Then add walnuts, leave a teaspoon of chopped nuts to serve the dish. To taste, add ground black pepper, you can also enrich the taste with your favorite spices or herbs. If the liquid has evaporated, pour in a little water, stir and simmer for about 10 minutes. We put the meat in a plate, sprinkle the remaining chopped nuts on top.
We serve beef with prunes and walnuts to the table. If desired, you can prepare a side dish for meat, potatoes, cereals or stewed vegetables will be well combined with it.
Bon appetit!
