Frozen Cabbage Rolls in Sour Cream Sauce

Make a really tasty, filling dinner — it's easy! Swap the usual tomato sauce for cabbage rolls with a creamy sour-cream sauce; it's just delicious! And having cabbage rolls made and frozen ahead means minimal time and effort after a long day, while the family ends up full and happy.

  • In a skillet, toast the flour in the vegetable oil. Once the flour is toasted (no more than a minute), pour in the cream, stir until smooth, and add the sour cream. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Place the cabbage rolls in a pot and pour in enough broth (or water) to come halfway up them. Pour the sour-cream sauce over the top. Simmer the cabbage rolls over low heat for 40 minutes, then divide among plates and serve. Enjoy! (No need to thaw the cabbage rolls first — they go in straight from the freezer.)
