Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a delicious strawberry pie in the oven? Very simple. First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Start cooking with the dough. Take the flour of the highest grade. Sour cream with a fat content of 15% and above. Butter should be at room temperature, so take it out of the refrigerator in advance.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Combine soft butter with sugar and beat with a mixer until fluffy.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add sour cream and whisk again.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Pour in the flour sifted with baking powder and knead a soft pliable elastic dough. Depending on the moisture content of the sour cream and the quality of the flour itself, more or less flour may be needed.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Then you can roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in a film and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. I, while the dough is pliable, distribute it along the bottom and sides of a detachable baking dish (Ø 18-22 cm, I have 20 cm). The smaller the diameter of the mold, the higher the sides of the dough should be. After that, put the form with the dough in the refrigerator.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Now prepare the sour cream filling. Sour cream is better to take fatter, from 20% and above. Eggs can be any size, I have large ones. Sugar can be adjusted to your taste. Instead of vanilla sugar, you can add a pinch of vanilla or a few drops of vanilla flavor.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

In a bowl, combine sour cream, eggs, flour, sugar and vanilla sugar.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk until smooth. The mixture should be semi-empty, but fluid. If you want the berries to stay on the surface of the pie, like mine, the filling should be thicker. This is possible if the sour cream is greasy. Sugar can be reduced to suit your taste. First pour in half the sugar, then taste the filling and add more if necessary.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Now prepare the filling. Strawberries can be used fresh or frozen, depending on the season. Remove the tails from fresh strawberries, rinse and dry the berries. Defrost the frozen berries slightly and drain the released juice.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Pour the sour cream mixture over the cooled dough. If desired, you can put a few berries on the bottom of the pie before pouring the sour cream mixture.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Spread the prepared strawberries on top. If desired, you can shape the pie in a different way: cut the strawberries into slices, put them on the dough and pour the sour cream mixture over everything.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Bake the pie for about 40-50 minutes at 180 ° C, until the sour cream filling seizes.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

Remove the finished cake from the oven and cool completely without removing it from the mold. Sour cream filling should be compacted. Where there are a lot of berries, sour cream may remain moist and not so dense. This is especially true of the center. This is acceptable, because the juice from the berries does not give the sour cream a proper grip. Cut the cooled pie into pieces and serve it to the table. Enjoy your meal!

Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
