Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the products for making buns. Important! Measure all the products in one glass. It can be either a 200-gram glass or a large, 300 ml mug. If your glass is small, then slightly reduce the amount of salt and yeast. Flour may take less or more, it depends on its quality. I also have butter and sugar left from the declared amount. I took a glass with a volume of 200 ml, I got 8 buns.
Step 2:
Pour warm water into a bowl with a temperature of about 37-38 degrees. This is the most comfortable temperature for yeast, its growth and activation. Too hot water will kill yeast, in cold water they will not wake up. Add a couple of tablespoons of sugar, mix. Sugar is necessary for yeast nutrition. Pour yeast into the sweet water. Cover the bowl and leave it for 15 minutes. During this time, the yeast should wake up and rise above the water with a cap.
Step 3:
Add salt, stir. Sift the first cup of flour. Sifting saturates the flour with air, which makes baking softer and more lush. Mix the flour with a spoon.
Step 4:
Sift the second glass, mix again. This method of adding flour will not allow you to put too much of it. The dough should be very soft, then the products from it will be soft. After two glasses, add flour literally by spoonful, so as not to shift it. It took me 2 and a half glasses.
Step 5:
At the end, together with the last flour, pour 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil into the dough. After that, you can knead the dough with your hands. do it right in the bowl.
Step 6:
This dough does not need to be kneaded for a long time, just collect all the flour and butter from the bowl. The dough will be very sticky, as it should be.
Step 7:
Cover the bowl with cling film, towel or lid. Leave it to come up in a warm place for 40 minutes. During this time, it will rise twice.
Step 8:
Knead the dough well - mix it in a bowl. It will decrease in volume. Cover the bowl again and leave again for 40 minutes.
Step 9:
The dough will grow well again.
Step 10:
Lay it out on a work surface sprinkled with flour. Divide it into equal pieces. I got 8 pieces, if you had a large glass, then you might get 12.
Step 11:
Roll each piece into a ball. To do this, assemble the edges of the workpiece to the center and pinch them. Turn the seam down and roll the ball in a circular motion.
Step 12:
Form a bun. Roll out the ball into a layer, about 5 mm thick.
Step 13:
Lubricate the layer with vegetable oil using a silicone brush. Sprinkle with a tablespoon of sugar.
Step 14:
Roll the tortilla into a roll, and then fold the roll in half. Connect the edges and pinch well.
Step 15:
Turn the roll over and make a cut with a knife before reaching the end. Expand the blank, as if opening it. You should get such a bun in the shape of a heart.
Step 16:
Form all the buns in the same way. Line the baking sheet with baking paper. Lay buns on it. Leave a place between them, buns will grow when baking.
Step 17:
Cover the baking sheet with a towel and leave for 20 minutes. During this time, preheat the oven to 200 ° C, top-bottom mode. Buns will grow a little more in size.
Step 18:
Bake the buns for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
