Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake orange cupcakes? Measure out the necessary ingredients. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it softens at room temperature. Choose a large, juicy, sweet orange.
Step 2:
Mix flour with baking powder, sift into a spacious wide bowl. Sifting will saturate the flour with oxygen, and the baking will be more lush.
Step 3:
Wash the orange, dry it. Using a grater, remove the peel from the orange (only a thin orange layer). Squeeze the juice out of the orange. You can do this with a citrus juicer or manually. I got 65 ml of juice.
Step 4:
Combine soft butter with sugar and vanilla sugar. Instead of vanilla sugar, you can use vanillin.
Step 5:
Beat everything with a mixer until fluffy, light mass.
Step 6:
Beat one egg into the butter mixture, beating well after each.
Step 7:
Add each next egg only after the previous one completely interferes with the resulting mass.
Step 8:
Add the orange zest and juice, mix well.
Step 9:
Pour in the flour sifted with baking powder, mix thoroughly until the lumps disappear.
Step 10:
The dough turns out to be viscous, homogeneous, the consistency of thick sour cream.
Step 11:
Spread the dough into cupcake molds. Fill the molds to 2/3 of their height, as the cupcakes will rise during baking.
Step 12:
Bake orange cupcakes in a preheated 180C oven for 20-25 minutes until browned. Check readiness with a wooden skewer. If it comes out of the middle of the cake dry, then the baking is ready. The cooking time may vary, as it depends on the characteristics of your oven. I got 12 small cupcakes.
Step 13:
Cool the cupcakes and serve them to the table. If desired, you can sprinkle the cupcakes with powdered sugar before serving. Bon appetit!
So that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use the useful information about the features of ovens!
