Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make juicy chicken nuggets in the oven? First, prepare the necessary ingredients. Take large eggs so that the batter is enough for all the chicken pieces.
Step 2:
Wash the chicken fillet, dry it with paper towels and cut it across the fibers into slices about 1 cm thick .
Step 3:
In a bowl, combine chicken slices, olive oil, ground paprika, salt and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly so that each piece of chicken is covered with oil and spices.
Step 4:
Leave the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, preferably overnight. If there is no time, then 30 minutes at room temperature is enough. If you marinate the fillet for several hours, then it needs to be tightened with cling film and stirred periodically, since vegetable oil drips from the chicken and collects at the bottom of the bowl.
Step 5:
Mix breadcrumbs with turmeric. Then the crust of the nuggets will turn out to be a beautiful golden color. I have breadcrumbs ready-made, store-bought. You can make breadcrumbs yourself from a loaf. The loaf should be cut into cubes and dried in the oven. Then grind in a blender into fine crumbs.
Step 6:
Mix flour with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Step 7:
Beat eggs lightly with a fork, add milk and beat again until smooth.
Step 8:
Roll the marinated chicken fillet pieces in flour first and shake off the excess.
Step 9:
Then dip in beaten eggs.
Step 10:
And thoroughly pan in breadcrumbs.
Step 11:
Place the nuggets on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Pour a little olive oil under each piece.* Bake chicken nuggets for about 30 minutes at 180 °C in the "top +bottom+convection" mode. If you only have the bottom heating, then 15 minutes after the start, turn the nuggets to the other side.
Step 12:
Transfer the finished nuggets to a platter and serve hot with ketchup or other sauce. Enjoy your meal!
* I baked the first batch without oil and the nuggets slightly stuck to the paper and turned out to be a little dry. And the second batch was baked with olive oil, and they turned out tastier.
Chicken can be replaced with turkey fillet.
