Step 1:
How to make turkey ham? Take the turkey fillet as a whole piece, the fresher the better. You can choose your own dry spices, ready-mixed mixtures for poultry are suitable. Wash the turkey fillet well, be sure to pat dry with a paper towel. Cut off all the films and tendons from the meat, if any. Then rub the fillet with salt, rubbing it well into the surface of the meat. Rub also with ground paprika.
Step 3:
Rub the meat with poultry seasonings if you use them. And also ground pepper, if you want to add spice to your ham.
Step 4:
Transfer the turkey meat rubbed with salt and spices to a food bag and send it to the refrigerator for 5-12 hours - the longer it marinates, the more tender and fragrant it will turn out in the end. After the time has elapsed, place the turkey fillet in a greased baking dish, cover with foil on top and place in an oven heated to 200-250 degrees for 20-35 minutes. Determine the exact time and temperature of baking according to your oven.
Step 5:
Then remove the foil and brown the surface of the meat a little. When the oven turns off, do not remove the ham from the oven, but leave to cool for 2 hours in the oven. In addition to meat, you will get delicious turkey juice, which can be added to soup or used to make sauce. After 2 hours, remove the turkey from the oven. You can additionally send it under the press by putting it in a food wrap or a plastic bag. But the ham is already getting dense.
An easy way to cook the healthiest homemade turkey ham. Garlic is not used in this recipe - after all, ham is a fairly neutral product, especially from tender turkey meat. It can be used for breakfast for a child or added to salads, for hot serving with a side dish or as an addition to breakfast or lunch.
Turkey can be replaced with chicken or any other type of meat at your request. But keep in mind that in this case, the cooking time and calorie content of the dish will change.
