Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
In this recipe, we will look at how to cook baked beets in foil in the oven. We take beetroot, baking sleeve and foil.
Step 2:
Turn on the oven at 200 degrees, let it warm up properly for now. We take the beetroot and wash it thoroughly. I usually rub it with the back of a sponge, since I don't have a special brush. We put the prepared beets in the sleeve for baking, and tie them tightly on both sides, trying to release all the air from the sleeve as much as possible.
Step 3:
Then wrap it all in 2-3 layers of foil and send it to the preheated oven.
Step 4:
I bake beets on the middle shelf. And I put it right on the grill, without a baking sheet. It takes about 1.5 hours to bake medium-sized beets, if the beetroot is small, then an hour is enough, if it is large, then we increase the time.
Step 5:
Check the readiness of the beetroot with a match or toothpick. We leave the finished beets to cool wrapped in foil. That's all, now it can be used at will. Baked beets are stored in the refrigerator for up to three days, I think during this time there will be no trace of it, because it is very tasty!
Step 6:
Everyone knows that beetroot is a very vitamin-rich vegetable. In addition to its useful properties and its huge nutritional value, I would like to note two more points. Firstly, it contains a unique set of elements that are not found in any other vegetable. Secondly, it includes a large number of substances that do not break down during temperature treatment. So the benefits of baked beets are beyond doubt. Raw beetroot salads with apple are delicious and healthy, but sometimes we need beets and not only in raw form. Knowing what was mentioned above, you and I can eat tasty and healthy not only beets in raw form, but also baked. This recipe comes from my childhood, so this vegetable was cooked by my grandmother. In general, people at that time often resorted to this method of cooking. Baked beetroot has a richer taste and color. Let's follow their example!
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
