French fries with chicken in the oven

French fries will decorate even a festive table! I cook this dish quite often. In addition to chicken fillet, meat from chicken thighs without skin and bones is well suited here. If desired, you can add slices of fresh tomato.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 2 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make French fries in the oven? First, prepare all the ingredients.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water with a brush, peel and cut into not thick circles (about 0.3-0.5 cm).

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Peel and slice the bulbs as well. To avoid irritation of the mucous membrane of the eyes, rinse the knife and onion before slicing.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Grate the cheese on a coarse or medium grater, as desired.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Cut the chicken fillet into long slices and lightly chop it off.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Put onion rings on the bottom of a greased baking dish.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

On it – half of the potato slices. Brush the potatoes with the remaining vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Place the chicken fillet pieces tightly on top.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Add salt, pepper to your taste and smear with mayonnaise. I filled a pastry bag with mayonnaise and squeezed out a "pattern".

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Put the remaining potato slices on the chicken, greased with mayonnaise. If desired, potatoes can also be poured with mayonnaise, but I did not - in my opinion, it will turn out fat enough without that.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Sprinkle the potatoes with grated cheese. Place the mold in a preheated 180 ° C oven for 40 minutes. Perhaps you will have to adjust the cooking time and the temperature in the oven to a greater or lesser extent, since any technique has its own characteristics. Consider this! I also advise you to immediately cover the mold with foil so that everything is well baked inside and the cheese does not burn. And after 30-40 minutes, remove the foil and cook until a golden crust appears on the cheese.

Chicken can be replaced with turkey or any other type of meat at your request. But keep in mind that in this case, the cooking time and calorie content of the dish will change.

Since the degree of salinity, sweetness, bitterness, sharpness, acid, burning is individual for everyone, always add spices, spices and seasonings, focusing on your taste! If you put some of the seasonings for the first time, then keep in mind that there are spices that it is especially important not to shift (for example, chili pepper).

I used new potatoes in this recipe, which is well and quickly cooked. But there are varieties of potatoes that have to be cooked longer than usual. In such cases, I advise you to lower the already sliced potatoes into boiling water for a couple of minutes, bringing it to half-readiness, then carefully flip it into a colander and start laying out the layers in the mold.

Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !

So that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).
