Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the products according to the list. Peel the vegetables.
Step 2:
It is better to defrost mackerel not to the end, then it is easier to work with it - and gut, and cut into portions or make longitudinal incisions, as in this case. So, gut the mackerel, rinse well, drain with a paper towel. Make centimeters through 3 shallow longitudinal incisions along the back.
Step 3:
Insert half rings of onion or a slice of lemon into the cuts, I inserted a lemon into the central one, into the rest of the onion. You can also put lemon half-rings and onions in the abdomen.
Step 4:
Put the remaining onion on the bottom of the mold with sunflower oil.
Step 5:
Place thin slices of potatoes on top of the onion. Potatoes should be cut very thinly so that the cooking time approximately corresponds to the cooking time of the fish. Large pieces will take a long time to cook, and the fish will dry out.
Step 6:
Lay the mackerel on top of the potatoes, pour oil on top of it and put it in the oven heated to 200 degrees for half an hour. Reduce the temperature after 10 minutes to 160 degrees - the fish will just "grab", will pack the juice and remain juicy.
Step 7:
Check the readiness of the dish when the potatoes are ready - as soon as they become soft - the dish can be served. Serve it better hot, bon appetit!
Mackerel baked with potatoes according to the proposed recipe turns out juicy and delicious. Potatoes, which are used as a side dish, are also delicious. This dish is from the category of "two in one" - very simple, satisfying and light at the same time. Mackerel is a very useful fish, it contains fatty amino acids, so necessary especially for the female body. Therefore, cooking mackerel dishes is not only simple, but also useful. Spices can be used both in a ready-made set for cooking fish dishes, and separately. Bay leaf, cumin, thyme are usually combined with fish.
