Step 1:
How to bake a chicken stuffed with mushrooms in the oven? There is nothing easier! First, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. Instead of fresh garlic, you can use 2 tablespoons of dry powder. This is especially true of the garlic that needs to be rubbed on the chicken, because pieces of fresh garlic can burn in the oven.
Step 2:
Peel the garlic. Pass five cloves for marinating chicken through a press, and finely chop the remaining two cloves for filling with a knife.
Step 3:
Wash the chicken, dry it. Lubricate the bird inside and out with vegetable oil and rub with garlic and spices passed through the press. If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish. Leave the chicken to marinate for 1.5 hours in the refrigerator.
Step 4:
While the chicken is marinating, prepare the filling. Wash the champignons, dry them and cut them into plates. If the mushrooms are small, you can leave them whole.
Step 5:
Cut the onion into half rings.
Step 6:
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, put the mushrooms and fry until excess moisture evaporates.
Step 7:
Add butter, onion and chopped garlic to the mushrooms. Stir-fry for another 4-5 minutes. At the end, lightly season the filling with salt, pepper and mix.
Step 8:
Stuff the chicken with the prepared filling.
Step 9:
Fasten the seam with toothpicks. Tie the legs. Wrap the tips of the wings with foil so that they do not burn.
Step 10:
If desired, you can cook a side dish of potatoes together with chicken. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.
Step 11:
Put the potatoes in a baking dish in an even layer.
Step 12:
Lay the chicken on top. Bake the chicken for about 1.5 hours in a preheated 180 ° C oven, periodically greasing the bird with juice from the bottom of the mold. Determine the exact time and temperature of baking according to your oven.
Step 13:
Serve the finished chicken with a side dish, garnished with berries, broccoli, slices of fried mushrooms. Bon appetit!
