Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make rolls in the oven on sour cream? Prepare the products. They should be at room temperature, so remove the eggs, sour cream and butter from the refrigerator in advance. Beat the eggs into a deep bowl, start beating them with a mixer, gradually adding sugar, you can optionally add vanilla. Beat for two to three minutes, then add sour cream (I took 20%) and melted and cooled to room temperature butter.
Step 2:
Sift the flour into a separate bowl (this will enrich it with oxygen and the baking will turn out more magnificent), add baking powder to it, mix with a whisk. Start gradually introducing flour into the dough, continue to beat with a mixer, when it will be difficult to beat with a mixer, go to kneading with your hands.
Step 3:
The dough should be soft and elastic. Keep in mind that a little more or less flour may be required. If the dough sticks to your hands, add more flour.
Step 4:
Cut off the dough pieces, form them into "sausages".
Step 5:
Roll the sausages into balls. I got twelve pieces.
Step 6:
Grease the baking sheet with vegetable oil and place the rolls on it at a distance from each other, as they will increase in size during the baking process. Bake in a preheated 180 ° C oven for 15-20 minutes. It took me 20 minutes. It may take a little more or less time, be guided by your oven. Bake until lightly browned and until the amazing aroma of homemade pastries. The rolls on sour cream are ready, bon appetit!
My comments on the recipe — the rolls turn out very tasty, tender, they have only one drawback - they run out quickly. I cooked them for the first time, my sweet tooth liked them, very tasty with milk. They go well with jam and boiled condensed milk. As for the test, it didn't seem very pliable to me, no matter how hard I tried, I didn't get smooth and beautiful curls, but I think it's a matter of practice. Surprise your loved ones, prepare homemade rolls on sour cream.
Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. Read a lot of useful information about flour and its properties in this article!
Be sure to wash eggs before use, since even seemingly clean shells may contain harmful bacteria. It is best to use food detergents and a brush.
Butter can be melted in the microwave or in a water bath.
How to melt butter in the microwave?
Cut the butter into small pieces and place it in a special container. To prevent the oil from splashing when heated, cover the oil vessel with a paper towel. The oil should be melted either at the lowest power or in defrosting mode. At first, five seconds will be enough. Next, if the butter has not melted yet, set it again for 5 seconds and start the microwave. Repeat the process several times until the desired result.
How to melt butter in a water bath?
You will need two containers of different diameters. Pour water into a large one and put it on the stove. Place the smaller container on top so that it is submerged in water by about half. Put the sliced butter into it. Under the influence of boiling water, the oil will begin to melt. Stir the oil slightly to speed up the process. As soon as the pieces of oil are completely dissolved, remove the container from the stove.
