Step 1:
How to make chicken drumsticks in sour cream in the oven? Prepare the necessary products. Sour cream can be taken of any fat content. Add spices and seasonings to taste. Wash the chicken drumsticks, dry them well with paper towels.
Step 2:
Squeeze the juice from half a lemon. This can be done manually or with a citrus juicer.
Step 3:
Peel the garlic, wash it. Pass the garlic through a press or grate it on a fine grater.
Step 4:
Combine sour cream with lemon juice, crushed garlic, Provencal herbs. Add salt and ground black pepper. Mix everything well. The higher the fat content of sour cream, the thicker the marinade will turn out. I used 10% sour cream.

For pickling, choose a suitable container for the size so that it is convenient to mix the shins. Fill the shins with sour cream marinade.
Step 6:
Mix the chicken legs well so that they are evenly covered with sour cream. Massage them a little. Cover the bowl with a lid and leave the shins to marinate for 1 hour. During this time, mix the shins 1-2 times so that they are evenly soaked with sour cream from all sides.
Step 7:
Put the shins in a baking dish along with the remaining marinade. You can use a ceramic mold or made of heat-resistant glass, or a small baking tray.
Step 8:
Bake the chicken drumsticks in a preheated 180C oven for 30-35 minutes. The cooking time may be different, as it depends on the specifics of the oven. To check the dish for readiness, pierce one of the shins with a knife. If light juice is released, then the legs are ready.
Step 9:
Serve chicken drumsticks in sour cream with any side dish. Bon appetit!
