Step 1:
How to bake salmon steak in the oven in foil? For this recipe, you will not need a lot of products and efforts. Prepare everything you need according to the list. If you have frozen fish, then take it out of the freezer in advance and leave it to thaw completely at room temperature. Great, if you have fresh fish, it turns out even juicier than the one that was frozen.
Step 2:
Rinse the steaks under running cold water and dry thoroughly with paper napkins. We will pickle the fish, and therefore there is no need for excess moisture on it.
Step 3:
Sprinkle the steaks with salt, as well as red and black pepper, add your favorite seasonings to taste. For red fish, I most often use a mixture of dry Provencal herbs. They include herbs such as thyme, basil, marjoram, parsley and oregano. Be sure to sprinkle the fish with dry rosemary, if you have it. All the above herbs are simply created for red fish and give it a stunning flavor when baking!
Step 4:
Spread out a sheet of foil. Lay out the salmon steak so that the spiced side remains at the bottom. Add salt and season the second side of the fish. Sprinkle the steak with the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon. Do the same with the second steak.
Step 5:
Wrap the foil tightly so that there are no cracks and you get an envelope. Put the envelopes in a heat-resistant form and leave for 10-15 minutes, during which time the salmon will be well marinated. While the fish is soaked in flavors, turn on the oven to warm up. Send the mold to the oven, bake for 20 minutes at 200 degrees on the "top-bottom" mode.
Step 6:
Remove the salmon from the oven, let the steaks "rest" for five minutes and only then open the foil.
Step 7:
Sprinkle the finished steaks again with lemon juice, garnish with herbs and a slice of citrus.
Step 8:
Can be served in this form.

Or put the fish on a plate and pour the juice that formed in the foil during baking.
