Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake potatoes with meat in sour cream in the oven? Prepare the products. Any meat will do — pork (tenderloin or like mine, with layers), lamb, young beef, turkey or chicken fillet. Depending on the type of meat, the baking time will change, take this into account.
Step 2:
Wash the meat, dry it well and cut into slices 0.5 cm thick.
Step 3:
Put the meat in a form greased with a small amount of vegetable oil.
Step 4:
Peel and slice the onion in any way — cubes or rings. Place a layer of chopped onion on top of the meat.
Step 5:
Salt and pepper the products.
Step 6:
Peel the potatoes, rinse, dry and cut into thin circles.
Step 7:
Lay the potato slices overlap with the next layer.
Step 8:
Prepare the filling by mixing sour cream, water, salt and spices well to taste. Sour cream is suitable for any fat content, the main thing is that it was a natural product, without milk fat substitutes.
Step 9:
Fill the contents of the mold with the prepared filling so that the potatoes are covered with it. If the fill is not enough, then make more.
Step 10:
Put the dish in the oven, which does not have to be preheated. Turn it on at a temperature of 200 degrees and set the timer for 1 hour, after half an hour, reduce the temperature to 150 degrees. Bake the meat with potatoes until cooked — the potatoes should become soft. The exact time will depend on the type of meat and the characteristics of your oven. Serve the finished dish to the table, sprinkled with herbs. Enjoy your meal!
Often baked meat with potatoes helps out when serving on a festive table, especially when a lot of guests gather. In this case, cook the dish on a large baking sheet, cutting the meat into portions, or, conversely, small, so that it is convenient to pick up all the layers from the baking sheet completely.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
