Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make potatoes under a fur coat in the oven? Prepare the necessary products. I have ham, any boiled sausage or bacon will also do. The fat content of sour cream can be any.
Step 2:
Wash pre-peeled onions, cut into small cubes.
Step 3:
Peel the garlic, chop it in a convenient way. You can pass garlic through a press or grate it on a fine grater, or finely chop it.
Step 4:
Pre-peeled potatoes cut into slices.
Step 5:
In a suitable-sized bowl, combine chopped potatoes, onions, crushed garlic, ground black pepper, herbs of Provence. Add salt and vegetable oil. Mix everything well. You can use any spices and seasonings to taste.
Step 6:
For "fur coats " ham cut into small pieces of arbitrary shape. For example, thin bars or cubes.
Step 7:
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
Step 8:
Combine ham, cheese and sour cream. Mix well.
Step 9:
Put the potatoes in a baking dish. Bake in a preheated 180C oven until almost ready for about 30 minutes. The cooking time may vary, as it depends on the specifics of the oven.
Step 10:
Check the potatoes for readiness by piercing the circle with a fork. If the potatoes are almost soft, remove the mold from the oven. If the potatoes dry out during cooking, cover the mold with a layer of foil.
Step 11:
Put the prepared "fur coat" on the potatoes in a uniform layer.
Step 12:
Put the mold back in the oven and cook the dish for about 15 minutes more. "The fur coat" should grab and blush at the edges.
Step 13:
Serve potatoes under a "fur coat" hot. Enjoy your meal!
To avoid irritating the mucous membrane of the eyes when slicing onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a piece of lemon before slicing.
