Cooking method
Prepare the dough for the pie.
Warm up the milk a little to a warm state. Add sugar and a little salt to it. Dilute dry fast-acting yeast in milk and leave for a few minutes to activate until foam forms. Then add the chicken egg. Melt the butter in a water bath and also add to the milk. Mix all the ingredients.
Sift the flour. And then combine with a milk mixture with yeast and knead a soft, but at the same time elastic dough. If necessary, add a little more flour, the dough should not stick to your hands.
Next, wrap the dough with cling film so that the edges do not dry out, and put it in a warm place for an hour and a half. During this time, the dough should increase by two or more.
Prepare the filling.
Wash the meat with cold water and wipe dry with paper towels. Then cut it into small pieces.
Peel the onion, rinse and dry. Then finely chop it into cubes.
In a bowl, mix the chopped pork with onions. Add salt and ground black pepper. Mix the meat well.
Peel potatoes, rinse and dry. Then cut into small bars.
Turn on the oven to preheat at 180 degrees Celsius.
When the dough has come up, knead it with your hands. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and roll out into two layers, equal in size to a baking sheet or baking dish. A piece of dough can be left in order to make jewelry later.
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and put one part of the dough. Put a layer of potatoes on top and add salt to taste. Next, put the pork and onion in the second layer. Cover the pie with a second layer of dough and pinch the edges tightly. On the surface of the pie, use a fork to make holes for steam to escape. From small pieces of dough, you can optionally make decorations for a pie.
Grease the surface of the pie with egg yolk and send the baking sheet to the preheated oven for about 50 minutes until fully cooked.
