Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake shins with potatoes with mayonnaise? Prepare everything you need for this. For baking, you can take a whole chicken and chop it into pieces. Or you can take some parts separately, like me. Peel the potatoes and rinse them in running water from dirt.
Step 2:
Cut the peeled potatoes into large pieces.
Step 3:
Add a little mayonnaise to the potatoes and add salt. Stir the potatoes so that they are evenly covered with mayonnaise on all sides.
Step 4:
Rinse chicken drumsticks in running water and dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Add mayonnaise to the chicken. Peel the garlic and pass it through the press immediately into the bowl to the chicken. Add a little salt and spices to taste. As a spice, you can use ground pepper and paprika.
Step 5:
Mix the chicken with mayonnaise and spices.
Step 6:
For baking, take any heat-resistant mold. It can be glass, metal or, like mine, ceramic. Place the potatoes in mayonnaise in the mold, evenly distributing it over the entire surface.
Step 7:
Put the chicken in mayonnaise on top of the potatoes. Pour some hot water into the mold. This is necessary so that the potatoes are not dried, but evenly baked.
Step 8:
Bake the dish in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for an hour. When baking, be guided by your oven. When the dish is ready, the potatoes will become soft, the chicken will be baked and will be an appetizing golden color. If you pierce the chicken with a knife, a light juice will appear.
Step 9:
Remove the finished dish from the oven, transfer to plates and serve to the table. Bon appetit!
It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting
recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.
