Step 1:
To prepare bagels, the first thing you need to do is to prepare a shortbread dough. To do this, prepare the necessary ingredients. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance and let it lie at room temperature for several hours so that it becomes soft. To speed up the process, you can cut the butter into pieces. This way it will warm up faster. Sift the premium flour through a sieve and add a pinch of soda and salt to it.
Step 2:
Combine soft butter and sugar in a convenient dough bowl. Whisk everything together for 2-3 minutes to make the oil more airy. Then add the egg and sour cream to the dough. Mix everything well.
Step 3:
Gradually pour flour into the dough and knead the shortbread dough. It is convenient to do this with a wooden spatula. It is not necessary to knead the shortbread dough for a long time, otherwise excess flour will enter it and products made from it will be tough.
Step 4:
The finished dough is very soft, tender and plastic. It's a pleasure to work with it and it doesn't stick to your hands. Depending on the quality of the flour, it may need a little more or less.
Step 5:
Divide the finished shortbread dough into 2-3 parts and roll each into a circle. Cut the dough into segments.
Step 6:
Put a little of any jam on the wide part. It should be very thick, so that when baking it does not flow out of the cookies.
Step 7:
Stretch the wide part of the dough a little wide and cover the jam. press lightly on the sides. Then twist into a roll towards the narrow part.
Step 8:
Place the rolls on a baking sheet covered with cooking paper. Bend them a little, giving the shape of bagels. Place a baking sheet with bagels in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for 20-30 minutes. Be guided by your oven.
Step 9:
The finished bagels will turn an appetizing golden color. Remove them from the oven and remove from the baking sheet.
Step 10:
