Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the yeast dough. In a deep bowl, sift the flour. Add salt, sugar, dry fast-acting yeast and pour in olive oil.
Step 2:
Pour in warm water and knead the dough. You need to knead the dough as long as possible, until you get bored, so that the flour has time to isolate gluten. At first it is convenient to work with a spoon, and then knead with your hands.
Step 3:
Form a ball from the dough, cover the bowl with a towel so that the dough breathes, and leave in a warm place for half an hour so that the dough fits. I always do this: I heat a glass of water in the microwave for one minute. I remove it, and leave a covered bowl with dough inside the microwave. Such a scheme has never failed me yet.
Step 4:
This is how my dough looks after the elapsed time. It has increased in volume, the air bubbles inside are clearly visible.
Step 5:
Prepare the filling. Cut the ham into thin strips. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
Step 6:
Roll out the dough into a thin circle on a floured surface. The thickness of the base at this stage should not be more than three millimeters, if you like pizza on a thin dough. I roll out the base immediately on a baking sheet. It will be so convenient to transfer the pizza to a baking sheet so as not to scatter the filling.
Step 7:
Spread the tomato sauce evenly on the base, retreating from the edge about half a centimeter.
Step 8:
Sprinkle the base with a third of grated cheese and put the ham on top.
Step 9:
Distribute the mushrooms on top of the ham. If fresh champignons are used, first they need to be washed, and then chopped into thin slices.
Step 10:
Peel the onion and chop it into very thin half rings. This is necessary so that the onion has time to cook during the baking of pizza.
Step 11:
Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the pizza. Bake the pizza in a preheated oven to two hundred degrees for twenty minutes. Depending on the individual characteristics of the ovens, the cooking time may vary. But it's worth focusing on cheese. It should melt and turn red.
My whole family loves pizza on yeast dough. And, which has already become a classic, filling with ham and mushrooms is always a success. Mushrooms can be selected both fresh and frozen. Ham will be needed with the most natural composition.
You need to serve pizza with fervor from the heat. It will be delicious to wash down pizza with a cold carbonated drink.
Bon appetit!
