Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
We take all the necessary products for the dough and filling.
Step 2:
To begin with, we take half a glass of milk and warm it up, it should be barely warm in order for our future dough to fit well. Pour two teaspoons of dry yeast into the warm milk and mix thoroughly. Rub until the mass becomes homogeneous! In this resulting mass, add salt and a tablespoon of sugar and mix everything well again. Leave to rise (activate yeast).
Step 3:
Next, add one egg and mix well until smooth. Now add two cups of flour. Add one cup, stir well, and then add another cup of flour.
Step 4:
We spread the dough on the table, having previously sprinkled it with flour, so that our dough does not stick. And now we knead the dough thoroughly until it becomes one whole ball of dough. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes. Now add two tablespoons of vegetable oil to it and knead again for another 5 minutes. Cover the dough and leave it for 40 minutes, then knead it again and let it come up again for 40 minutes.
Step 5:
Take the dough and divide it into two parts. The fourth part is left for the flagella, and the main part is laid out on a frying pan, which does not need to be lubricated with anything. We spread it out so that there are bumpers along the edges. We spread apple (or any other) jam on the dough. From the remaining piece of dough, we make flagella and lay them out in two layers - the first layer along, and the second one across. Lubricate the top of the pie with egg, after stirring it.
Step 6:
Now we are looking at how to bake a yeast cake with jam. We put our billet in an oven already preheated to 190-200 degrees and bake for 20-30 minutes until ready and golden brown. Bon appetit!
Why add vegetable oil at the end? - you can ask, and you add and see! The dough after kneading with vegetable oil becomes soft and very elastic. The quality of kneading depends on how fluffy and soft the dough will be and how well it will fit.
