Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients. Black bread is better to use yesterday's, slightly dried, this will not crumble when sliced with a knife. You need to cut the bread into thin slices, no more than 0.5 centimeters thick, so that the bread dries well or is fried.
Step 2:
Slices of bread, in turn, on thin straws, but you can also small cubes, but of the same shape, so that the time during drying the bread dries evenly. Kirieshki come in different shapes: square, round or rectangular.
Step 3:
Spices: salt, ground black pepper, paprika, garlic powder - mix in a bowl. Add olive oil. If desired, the set of spices can be changed or changed, according to taste and availability. Those who like sharper crackers can add a pinch of ground red pepper or hot pepper, or a set of peppers for more flavor. We put the pieces of bread in a bowl with sauce and mix well so that the bread is soaked with filling, but we do it carefully so as not to crumble the bread.
Step 4:
Crackers can be dried in the oven or in the microwave. A baking sheet or a refractory mold is covered with parchment if desired, but not necessarily, the crackers will not stick to the bottom of the mold, since they are soaked in oil. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. The form with crackers is sent to the oven for 10 minutes. During drying, mix the crackers on a baking sheet a couple of times.
Step 5:
Then we take them out of the oven and leave them to cool down in it, we must take into account that the hot crackers will be soft until they cool down, so you can't keep them in the oven until they harden, otherwise they may burn and become bitter. The cakes are ready, we serve them to the table with soup or hot, or in the evening we crunch on the couch watching TV with the household. Bon appetit!
