Wet cake without eggs

An easy-to-prepare cake for a home tea party. A wet cake can be supplemented to your taste, for example, by decorating the top with chopped toasted soft nuts or cocoa, coconut chips, chocolate glaze. Layering the cake, you can add a small amount of lemon zest, this technique will bring a special note of freshness and add a bright flavor accent.

    Prepare a baking dish in advance (ideally a split form, the bottom of which is covered with parchment paper) and turn on the oven. In a bowl, combine condensed milk and melted butter.

    Mix, pour WARM (!) kefir.

    Mix, add the sifted flour combined with baking soda.

    Mix quickly until a homogeneous dough is obtained, as thick as sour cream.

    Pour into a baking dish. Bake for about 45-50 minutes at 180 degrees. The dough should rise, brown and, when pressed, spring slightly in the center.

    The finished cake needs to be removed, cooled. It is advisable to leave it under a towel until the next day, "ripen." Cut the cake into 2, or better 3 parts.

    Combine sugar and water for impregnation in a ladle, bring to a boil. Soak one cake liberally with the cooled syrup first. Pay special attention to the edges, they are the densest.

    Lubricate the soaked cake with sour cream (for its preparation, combine sugar and sour cream for cream, whisk), then soak the next cake, put it on top and cover with cream as well.

    Put the cake in the refrigerator overnight.

    Decorate the finished cake to your taste.

The cake is called "Wet" because it is abundantly soaked in sugar syrup and very juicy.
