Cooking method
1. Turn on the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
2. In a large bowl, sift the wheat flour in the required volume. Add the oat flakes and mix. Next, enter two types of sugar into the bowl - white and brown (if you use only white, then you should increase its amount as indicated in the recipe for brown). Add a little salt and mix all the dry ingredients well together.
3. Melt butter in a water bath or in a microwave. Pour the melted butter into a bowl with dry products and mix. It is not necessary to add vanilla extract there, but it will add flavor to the finished baking. Stir until a moist crumb forms.
4. Prepare a square cake pan made of food grade silicone or fireproof glass measuring approximately 20 by 20 cm. Cover it with food foil, form the sides of the sides.
5. Divide the pie dough into 2 parts. Put most of it (about 2/3 of the total volume of the dough) into the prepared foil mold and use a silicone spatula to level the entire area with an even layer.
6. Put the jam on the dough with the second layer. In this case, raspberry jam is used, but you can take any one to choose from. The main thing is that it is not very liquid. Jam is also evenly distributed over the bottom cake.
7. Put the remaining dough in the final layer and distribute evenly.
8. Put the baking dish in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Bake the cake until the jam stops bubbling and the top of the cake turns golden.
9. Take the pie out of the oven and cool it down a little. Then you can cut it into portions and serve it to the table.
By the way, the dough for such a pie can be prepared in advance and frozen. You can even cook it in a larger volume! Then there will always be a ready-made dough at hand for a quick preparation of a treat for tea.
Bon appetit!
