Oatmeal cake

Crumbly dough and cherry plum is a beautiful and delicious combination. I have long wanted to bake a pie with such a beautiful top made of plum quarters. But they did not reach the plums, because the other day I saw a cheap, almost for nothing, red cherry plum. We have not had a cherry plum harvest for the second year, so we have to buy.

    Step 11.

Remove the finished cake from the mold, cool and cut into portions. Enjoy your meal!

I found the recipe on the Internet. However, there is little left of the original recipe. Rather, only the dough remains. And the filling was supposed to be made from plums, which had to be ground in a blender and distributed between two layers of sand crumbs. I can say that oatmeal dough perfectly harmonizes with sour and juicy cherry plum.

The only thing that was used in the original recipe was ordinary sugar. I decided to replace it with reed to give the dough a brighter and richer color. And the taste of brown sugar in the shortbread dough and in the filling turns out to be more interesting.
