Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Cottage cheese for casserole is better to take fat - I have 9%. To prepare the dough, you need to put it in a convenient bowl and grind it with an immersion blender or rub it through a sieve so that it becomes homogeneous and does not contain lumps.
Step 2:
In a separate bowl, beat eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Beat everything well with a mixer.
Step 3:
Melt the butter over low heat or in the microwave, add it to the egg mixture, mix everything well.
Step 4:
Pour the liquid mass into the cottage cheese and mix with a mixer.
Step 5:
Soak the raisins in hot water for 5 minutes so that it steams. Then drain the water, rinse the raisins well to remove all possible debris. After that, the raisins need to be dried a little, spreading it out on a flat saucer or soaked with a paper towel. Pour the prepared raisins into a small bowl, add all the semolina there and roll the raisins well in it. Thanks to this, the raisins will not settle to the bottom during the baking of the casserole.
Step 6:
Add raisins with semolina to the curd mass. Also add 3 tablespoons of sour cream to the dough. Gently mix with a spoon.
Step 7:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees in advance. We put a baking dish in it for 5 minutes so that it warms up. If we preheat the mold, the casserole will not stick to the bottom. Lubricate the mold with butter and sprinkle with semolina. Instead of semolina, you can use flour or breadcrumbs. Pour the dough into the prepared baking dish, distributing it evenly. Grease the top with sour cream mixed with powdered sugar.
Step 8:
Put the form with the dough in the oven for 30-40 minutes. Readiness can be checked in the classic way - with a toothpick. If the oven is baking unevenly, then after 15-20 minutes the mold can be turned, then the casserole will be baked from all sides equally. During cooking, the casserole will rise, brown well and bake. The finished casserole can also be sprinkled with powdered sugar. Have a nice tea party!
