Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make a shortbread cake with raspberry jam? Measure out the necessary ingredients. To prepare the shortbread dough, the butter and milk should be cold enough.
Step 2:
Mix flour with baking powder, sift into a suitable sized bowl.
Step 3:
Combine flour with sugar, mix.
Step 4:
In the flour mixture, grate cold butter on a coarse grater.
Step 5:
Rub everything quickly with your hands.
Step 6:
Beat the egg with a fork with cold milk until smooth.
Step 7:
Make a recess in the butter and flour crumbs, pour in the egg beaten with milk. Stir first with a spoon.
Step 8:
Then quickly mix everything with your hands, forming a ball of dough. It is not necessary to knead the dough for a long time and thoroughly, so that the butter does not melt from the heat of the hands. The dough may be imperfectly homogeneous, with small oil inclusions. The faster the shortbread dough is mixed, the more crumbly the finished pastry will be. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Step 9:
Form the cake immediately on parchment so that it is convenient to transfer it to a baking sheet later. Roll out the cooled dough into a round layer 0.5-0.8 mm thick.
Step 10:
Leave the middle of the dough for the sweet filling. Divide the remaining distance into 12 symmetrical parts.
Step 11:
Make cuts of the same width on both sides of each part. Also make incisions in the middle, but without cutting to the end.
Step 12:
Bend the middle part of each segment to the middle.
Step 13:
Then roll the roll towards yourself.
Step 14:
Connect the ends of the side cut strips at the bottom of the roll.
Step 15:
Similarly shape the whole pie.
Step 16:
Put any thick jam in the middle of the dough. You can take berry or fruit jam, jam or jam.
Step 17:
Sprinkle the filling circumference with almond petals.
Step 18:
To lubricate the cake, lightly beat the egg with milk until smooth.
Step 19:
Transfer the parchment with the cake to the baking sheet. Using a cooking brush, brush the edges of the pie with beaten egg.
Step 20:
Bake the jam pie in a preheated 190C oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Do not overdo the baking so that the edges of the cake do not dry out. The baking time may vary, as it depends on the characteristics of each oven.
Step 21:
Cut the cooled finished pie into portions and serve to the table. Bon appetit!
So that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
