Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare honey dough for cakes, prepare the necessary ingredients. To make the cakes soft, use good quality butter. Do not replace it with margarine or spread.
Step 2:
In a deep saucepan, melt the butter with honey and cool slightly so that the mass is not hot.
Step 3:
Separately mix the sugar with the egg with a whisk. Then enter this mixture into a warm butter-honey mixture. Return the pan to the heat and bring everything together to a boil.
Step 4:
Add soda to the boiling mass, mix everything and remove from heat. The mass will increase in volume and foam. This is how it should be - this is the reaction of soda with honey. This mass must be cooled to room temperature.
Step 5:
Add the sifted flour to the cooled honey mass and knead the dough. It is not necessary to add flour more than the specified amount, otherwise the dough will become stiff and the finished product will be solid. Cover the dough and put it in the refrigerator for an hour. It should reach there. And only after that it will be possible to work with him.
Step 6:
Cut out the number 4 from a sheet (slightly smaller than A4) of paper.
Step 7:
Divide the dough into 2-3 parts and roll each into a layer, 0.4-0.6 mm thick and cut out the number 4 according to the stencil. Bake the cakes in an oven heated to 180 degrees, in for 4-6 minutes. Cool the finished cakes.
Step 8:
To prepare the filling, take chilled heavy cream and powdered sugar. But you can use any confiture in the filling, if desired. Or not use it at all. I will add blackcurrant jam.
Step 9:
For the cream, whisk the cream with powdered sugar into a stable cream.
Step 10:
Put the cream in a pastry bag and, after making an incision, spread the cream over the entire surface of the cake. Then add some jam.
Step 11:
So collect the whole cake. On the top of the cake, also, spread the cream over the entire surface. Cover the cake tightly and put it in the refrigerator for a few hours so that it is well soaked. In a closed container, all the moisture will go into the cakes, thereby impregnating them well.
Step 12:
Tell the middle of the four with chocolate. You can simply cut out a triangular piece of chocolate, or draw it with melted chocolate.
Step 13:
Then decorate the cake to your liking. As a decoration, you can use fruits, berries or sweets. Have a nice treat!
