Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 d
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

To make a cake, the first thing you need to do is prepare the dough. Prepare all the necessary ingredients for this. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

In a non-stick saucepan (or with a thick bottom), put the butter and add honey to it. Put the pan on the fire and wait for the oil to melt. The mass should not get too hot.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

In a separate bowl, mix the eggs with sugar. Then put the eggs in warm (but not hot) butter and mix everything together. Return the pan to the heat and, stirring occasionally, bring to a boil.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Remove the boiling mass from the heat and add soda. Mix it up. In this case, the mass will begin to foam and increase in volume. This is the reaction of honey with soda. Cool the honey mass to a slightly warm state.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Then, adding flour, knead the dough. You don't need to add extra flour, even if it still sticks to your hands. Cover the dough with a film and put it in the refrigerator for an hour. During this time, it will be infused and ready for baking. And it won't stick to your hands anymore.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

In order to cut a digit of the desired size, cut out the number 7 from the A4 sheet.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Roll out the dough into a thin layer (0.4-0.6 mm) and cut out the figure according to the prepared stencil. On all surfaces, pierce the dough with a fork so that it does not rise in bubbles when baking. Bake in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, 4-6 minutes. Bake 2-4 cakes like this and cool them.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

To prepare the cream, take powdered sugar, cooled heavy cream and cottage cheese, heated to room temperature.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Whisk the cream with powdered sugar into a fluffy, stable cream. Then mix the curd cheese into it.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Using a pastry bag, spread the cream over the entire surface of the number 7.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

So collect the whole cake. Put the cake in a closed box or cover with a large bowl and put it in the refrigerator for a few hours to soak it. Why should I cover the cake? This is necessary so that all the moisture from the cream passes into the cakes and they become juicy and soft. Before serving, decorate the cake to your liking. This can be done with sweets or fruits. Have a nice treat!

Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
