Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients for the dough. The dough is prepared like an ordinary shortbread, but you do not need time to rest it, you can immediately proceed to baking. Nuts can be taken for filling any: peanuts, almonds, cashews or small pieces of walnuts. Walnuts give a particularly pleasant taste to honey dough.
Step 2:
We drive two chicken eggs into a bowl, add sugar and whisk with a blender until the sugar is completely dissolved and a homogeneous mass is obtained, no need to thick foam.
Step 3:
Add honey and soda slaked with vinegar to the egg mixture, stir well so that the honey dissolves if thick. Foam should appear on the surface of the mixture.
Step 4:
Add margarine or butter softened at room temperature to the mixture and rub the mass well.
Step 5:
Pour the sifted flour in parts, knead the elastic smooth dough, it should not stick to your hands.
Step 6:
We form a long sausage from the dough and cut it into small pieces, about the size of a walnut, a few pieces can be made slightly smaller than the rest. We roll out each piece into a small cake about 0.5 cm thick . We put a nut in the center and fix the edges of the dough, forming an even ball.
Step 7:
We do this with the whole test. Spread the dough balls on a baking sheet, greased with oil.
Step 8:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. The baking sheet with balls is sent to the oven for literally 15 minutes, but focus on the work of your oven. The balls should turn red. We take them out and cool them, they should become much larger in size. Meanwhile, we prepare the cream.
Step 9:
We prepare three creams for filling the dough: chocolate, cocoa and sour cream. In a water bath, we dissolve a bar of bitter chocolate with the addition of milk and butter. Bring the water in a saucepan to a boil, put a bowl in it. Pour the milk into a bowl, put the chocolate broken into pieces, stir until the chocolate melts. Then add a piece of butter, stir until you get a homogeneous smooth chocolate mass.
Step 10:
In another bowl we make sour cream. Whisk sour cream with sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved and the volume of the mass increases. We prepare a cream with cocoa. In the third bowl, add most of the sour cream and cocoa. Beat well with a blender or mix until a homogeneous mass in consistency and color is obtained. We begin to collect the cake. We lay a few balls for eggs, from the rest we make a nest.
Step 11:
Dip some of the balls in chocolate cream, some in cocoa cream. We spread two layers of these balls around, leaving a void in the center for the eggs. If the cream remains, you can pour it on top of the nest so that it better impregnates the dough. Dip the remaining balls in sour cream and put them in the center of the nest. We leave the cake in the refrigerator overnight so that the dough is well soaked with cream. We serve it to the table. Have a nice tea party!
