Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients. Berries can be used frozen and any to taste and availability.
Step 2:
Butter softened at room temperature is ground with sugar. Pour in the flour, sifted and combined with soda. Stir until crumbs form.
Step 3:
In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Pour the beaten egg mixture into a bowl with flour crumbs and knead the elastic dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 40 minutes.
Step 4:
Then divide the dough into two parts: one slightly larger than the other.
Step 5:
Roll out most of it into a circle.
Step 6:
We line a greased mold with it so that it completely covers the bottom and walls of the mold.
Step 7:
Put sugar and starch on the bottom. Spread the berries on top (currants, gooseberries and raspberries), you can use frozen, again pour sugar. If desired, the berries can be boiled, they will let the juice and will be sweeter and will look like jam in consistency.
Step 8:
The second piece of dough is also rolled into a circle, which we cover the baking billet with, gently pinching the edges.
Step 9:
Bake the berry basket at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. Let the baking cool down, take it out of the mold and serve it to tea. Have a nice tea party!
