Cooking method
I will also add that the color is not always what you expect. It all depends on the brand of jelly, so you will have to experiment before you get the desired biscuit. Often it turns out to be ordinary in color or with a barely noticeable shade, which, I think, is also not bad. The main thing is delicious! And it looks more natural.
Actually the recipe itself:
- the jelly from the briquette should be ground into flour: do it in a bag or in a towel with a pusher or rolling pin;
- pour the jelly into a bowl and mix with flour;
- add the egg and mix very well again, otherwise the sugar from the jelly will not dissolve;
- add the slaked soda and stir well. The dough should lighten a little and foam up;
- lubricate the mold with oil and pour the dough into it;
- bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. You should get a beautiful brown crust. It took me a little over 20 minutes.
Have a nice tea party and culinary masterpieces!
