Preparing the sourdough. Pour dry yeast, sugar into a plate and pour warm milk. Stir, leave for 15-20 minutes in a warm place so that the sourdough rises.

Wash the carrots, clean and grate them on a fine grater.
Step 4:
The finished sponge has tripled in volume.
Step 5:
Preparing the dough. In a deep bowl, mix the flour (first pour 300 grams of flour), salt, vanilla, melted butter. Beat the eggs separately and cast about a fourth part for the subsequent lubrication of the buns, pour the rest into the total mass of the dough. Add the sourdough, mix.
Step 6:
Add carrots to the dough, knead the dough with your hands. Add the remaining flour if necessary.
Step 7:
Dust the table with flour, knead the dough. The finished dough is soft, tender, but sticks to your hands if you don't dust it with flour.
Step 8:
Cover the dough with cellophane and a towel, put it in a warm place for 1 hour so that it rises.
Step 9:
Knead the finished dough, roll the sausage and cut into 16 pieces. From each part we roll a bun.
Step 10:
Grease the baking sheet with oil. We spread the buns, at a distance of 3 cm from each other, cover with cellophane, leave for 15-20 minutes for proofing.
Step 11:
Then lubricate the buns with egg, which was left for lubrication.
Step 12:
Sprinkle poppy seeds on top.
Step 13:
With scissors we make incisions crosswise from above.
Step 14:
Put in a preheated 180 degree oven to bake for 20-30 minutes. The time depends on your oven.
Step 15:
To check, you can break one bun, the finished bun is porous. Ready buns lightly sprinkle with water and cover with a towel for 10 minutes.
