Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Pie Ingredients
Step 2:
Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve or punch it with a blender. Add lemon and orange zest and sugar.
Step 3:
Squeeze the juice from the orange and lemon halves (I got about 100 ml of juice).
Step 4:
Add the juice to the curd mass. Mix everything thoroughly.
Step 5:
Add the eggs and beat thoroughly.
Step 6:
Sift corn and wheat flour, mix with baking powder and add to the liquid part.
Step 7:
Mix, the dough should not be too thick.
Step 8:
Pour the dough into the mold (the size of the mold is 20 cm) and bake at 170-180 C for about 40 minutes. We check the readiness with a skewer. This pie can be baked not only in one form, I like to bake it in cupcake molds.
Step 9:
While the pie is being baked, we will prepare syrup for impregnation.
Step 10:
Mix sugar with orange and lemon juice, mix. Bring the mixture to a boil, but do not boil, leave to cool.
Step 11:
Pour syrup on top of the finished cake. To make the syrup easier to penetrate into the pie, the surface of the pie can be pricked with a skewer. We give the cake to soak and serve it to the table.
Step 12:
Bon appetit!
