The basis of the fig pie, in our recipe, will be a mixture of salt, flour, vanilla beans, yolks and fine powdered sugar. We mix all the ingredients sequentially with each other, and when the mixture becomes firm, fill it with water, turning it into dough. There should be a little water, otherwise we will be tormented to knead the dough.
Rolls the ball out of the dough mass, wrap it with cling film and keep it on the refrigerator shelf for half an hour. After returning the dough, roll it out on a baking sheet and return it to the refrigerator for half of the previous period. Turn on the oven, set 180 degrees, put the dough there and give it 15 minutes to form a cake. We take out the cake, do not turn off the oven, but reduce the temperature by 10 degrees.
Now it's time to put the filling in the form of almond cream. As you probably already guessed, they will cover the surface of the cake. Peeled almonds are ground into powder, mixed with wheat flour. This mixture is whipped in the company of sugar and butter. A little later, vanilla grains and eggs are added to the mass. The whole thing is mixed until it takes a creamy consistency. Smear the cream on the cake.
And now it's the turn of the main participant of the recipe – figs. Cleaned of tails, we cut it into the shape of a cross and open it. In this form, we decorate the surface of the almond cream pie, putting figs with buds up.
A small amount of syrup from a mixture of powdered sugar and water is dripped on figs. The remaining almonds are crumbled and this crumb completes the decoration of the dish. We put the pie in the oven for an hour at 170 degrees and wait until it is cooked. Do not rush to put tea, let it cool down a little!
