Grated pie with shortbread jam

Crumbly pie goes well with sugar-free tea! There is food that constantly reminds us of childhood. For me, such a bell is this sand cake, which as a child I called "dry cake" and loved very much. They made it then for some reason only with currants twisted with sugar. And then I found out that this is actually a recipe for a classic English apple pie. So, we can put any filling - any jam, jam or confiture. Whatever you like best.

Margarine is grated on a coarse grater. Pour sugar into it and grind until smooth. Next we send eggs and vanilla and mix everything very well. Combine four cups of flour with baking powder or soda, gradually pour into margarine and mix thoroughly. The dough should be molded like plasticine and lag behind the hands. If there is not enough flour, then you can add a little. We divide the dough into two unequal parts, one - two-thirds of the total volume, and the second only a third.

We freeze the smaller part in the refrigerator, and put the larger part in a mold and spread it out with our hands, smooth it along the bottom. You can make small sides of dough. Put the filling on top. The frozen part of the dough is grated. So that the grated dough does not stick together, it is better to do it directly over the pie. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake for about half an hour.
