Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. Grease the baking dish with butter and dust with flour.
Break the eggs, separating the whites from the yolks. With a mixer, beat the egg yolks with sugar well. Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater. Mix with the yolks. Carefully add flour, grated zest, chopped almonds, and baking powder. Pour 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, add salt to the eye and mix thoroughly.
Separately beat the egg whites to a thick foam. Gradually, one spoonful at a time, put the proteins into the dough, knead the dough thoroughly and put it in a baking dish.
Bake the pie on a medium level in the oven for about 45 minutes.
The finished cake can be covered with icing. To do this, the powdered sugar should be mixed well with the remaining lemon juice.
