This cake in America is called "Russian food". In general, in the West it is not customary to make creams from sour cream. But, as you can see, Russian culinary recipes are spreading all over the world.
In a large bowl, rub the eggs and sugar until white. Gradually add the flour, and stir everything until smooth. In a frying pan, melt the butter, add honey and soda to it. Over low heat, stirring constantly, cook the mixture until it foams and becomes thick and light brown. Then pour honey and butter into the dough and mix everything very well. Pour the dough into a metal or paper cake pan, and bake at 180 degrees for about fifteen or twenty minutes. We try for readiness with a toothpick. We take out the finished cake and put it to cool.
Meanwhile, mix sour cream with sugar until the sugar completely dissolves.
Remove the cooled cake from the mold and cut into two layers. We put the bottom one on a large dish and spread half of the whole sour cream. The second piece is put on top and also well smeared with the remaining sour cream. In order for the cakes to soak well, we send our cake to the refrigerator. There it can be cooled and soaked during the day.
