Step-by-step cooking
Cut the onion head not very large and fry it in a small amount of vegetable oil until transparent. Then add the ground beef and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the minced meat completely changes color. Salt and pepper the contents of the frying pan. Potatoes are washed, peeled and cut into very thin slices. In a greased baking dish, spread the potato slices overlap (a third of the total volume of potatoes). Evenly salt and pepper, and also pour part of the cream. The following layers: half of the minced meat, potatoes and cream, sprinkled with salt and pepper, the remaining minced meat. The last layer is made of potatoes. Mix the remaining amount of cream with sour cream until smooth, with salt and pepper. We cover the top of the casserole with this mixture and send it to the oven preheated to 170 degrees for an hour. We check the readiness of the casserole with a toothpick, which should easily enter it. If the top is very reddened, then cover with foil. Potato casserole with ground beef is good both cold and hot.
