Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake apples in a slow cooker? Prepare the products. Take apples preferably sour varieties, such as Semerenko, Granny Smith, Antonovka. But other varieties are also suitable. Choose raisins without seeds. Honey is natural, high—quality, liquid. If the honey is thick or candied, then melt it in a water bath.
Step 2:
Prepare the filling. How to make the filling? Pre-steam the raisins. Then combine it with honey and mix.
Step 3:
Wash the apples well and dry them. Use baking soda and a hard sponge to wash off the possible wax coating that is used to cover the fruits to increase the shelf life. Cut off the top lid, carefully cut out part of the pulp, trying not to damage the bottom and walls of the fruit.
Step 4:
Put 2 tsp of filling inside each apple, cover them with lids.
Step 5:
Put the apples in a parchment-lined bowl of a slow cooker.
Step 6:
Set the "Baking" or any other suitable mode on the slow cooker, depending on the model. Set the time (if it is selected) to about 20 minutes. If the apples are very dense and large, then longer, about 10 minutes. Serve the finished apples to the table. Bon appetit!
Apples can be baked with completely different fillings, or just bake whole fruits and serve them with ice cream.
How to steam raisins correctly? Pour well-washed raisins with hot water and leave for 10-15 minutes. During this time, it will become soft. Drain the water and dry it with paper towels.
Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook dishes that are familiar to you first, and then new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.
