Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make tomatoes royally for the winter? Wash the jars and lids well and sterilize them in a way that is convenient for you. I prefer to do it in the oven. I put clean lids and jars in a cold oven, set the temperature to 180 degrees and leave for 20-25 minutes. At the bottom of the jar, put a bay leaf, sliced garlic, cloves, an umbrella of dill and a ring of hot pepper.
Step 2:
I chose for pickling strong pink tomatoes of small size with a dense skin. Tomatoes should be chosen in such a size that it is equally convenient both to put in a jar and to remove from it. Wash the tomatoes, tear off the stalks and at this point make three, four punctures with a toothpick. This will help preserve the juiciness of tomatoes and protect their skins from the effects of boiling water.
Step 3:
Rinse the pepper, remove the films and streaks, cut into small pieces. Place tomatoes and peppers tightly in jars.
Step 4:
Pour boiling water, cover with a sterile lid and leave to cool completely.
Step 5:
Then drain the water from the jar into a saucepan, add salt and sugar, put on the stove, stirring, bring to a boil at the end, add vinegar.
Step 6:
Pour the hot marinade into the jar, roll up with a sterile lid, turn the jar over, wrap it with a warm towel and leave it to cool completely. Then store it in a cool place - a cellar or refrigerator. That's all, pickled tomatoes are ready for the winter in a royal way! Successful preparations and bon appetit!
