Step 1:
How to make cucumber salad for winter with garlic? Prepare the ingredients. Take any vegetable oil, I have sunflower oil. You can change the set of seasonings and herbs to your liking. Wash cucumbers and greens well and dry them. Peel the garlic from the husk.
Step 2:
Separately, I want to say about dill. Dill should be young and fresh, without blooms, otherwise the taste of the salad will turn out to be different, more like ordinary pickled cucumbers, keep this in mind!
Step 3:
In cucumbers, cut off the tips on both sides. Transfer the cucumbers to a large container, fill with cold water and leave for 3 hours. Thanks to this method of soaking, cucumbers will become especially crispy.
Step 4:
After three hours, rinse the soaked cucumbers again, let the water drain from the vegetables through a colander. Cut the cucumbers into circles.
Step 5:
Cut the garlic cloves into thin slices. Finely chop the washed greens.
Step 6:
Put the vegetables and herbs in a deep container, preferably glass or plastic. Add spices to them: sugar, salt, black pepper, vegetable oil and vinegar. Mix everything well. Leave the salad at room temperature for at least 3 hours. You can leave it overnight. Cover the container with a napkin on top. During the specified time, the salad should be stirred periodically so that the sugar and salt dissolve, and the spices well nourish the vegetables and herbs.
Step 7:
Prepare glass jars by sterilizing them in a water bath, in the microwave or in the oven. Boil the lids. Arrange the salad into jars. The color of cucumbers will tell you about the readiness of the salad: it should be olive. The juice formed in the container, pour into jars up to the shoulders so that it covers the salad. Cover the jars with lids and sterilize them in a saucepan, laying a cloth on the bottom and filling it with water so that it reaches the hangers of the jars. For 0.5 l cans - 15 min
