Step 1:
How to make tomatoes with plums for the winter? Prepare the products. Tomatoes take dense, high-quality, ripe and whole not spoiled plums, garlic take to taste. Also add spices to taste, for example, bay leaf, allspice, cloves, mustard seeds. All products are indicated based on a 3-liter jar.
Step 2:
Rinse the three-liter jar thoroughly with soda, pour boiling water over it and put your chosen spices, peeled garlic cloves on the bottom. You can additionally sterilize the jar before laying the products. To learn how to do this, follow the link at the end of the recipe.
Step 3:
Wash tomatoes and plums well, remove the stems. It is not necessary to remove the bones. Fill the jar to the top with tomatoes and plums.
Step 4:
Fill the jar with boiling water and cover with a sterile lid. Do not pour all the water at once, so that the jar does not burst from the temperature difference. Fill it with boiling water in parts so that the glass has time to warm up evenly. Leave for 10 minutes, then drain the water from the jar using a special lid with holes in the pan. Add salt and granulated sugar to the water, pour vinegar into the jar itself.
Step 5:
Bring the brine to a boil over medium heat and re-pour the plums with tomatoes. Immediately seal the jar hermetically with a rolling machine. Turn the jar over, wrap it in a warm blanket or shawl, a blanket and leave it overnight in this condition so that the sterilization process lasts longer. Store the cooled jar in a cool place.
Plums for pickling can be taken any, the main thing is that they are dense enough, without rot and obvious damage.
You can add spicy herbs to the jar (horseradish, currant leaves, tarragon, celery), herbs to taste.
