How to make a salad of overgrown cucumbers for the winter? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Overgrown and large cucumbers are perfect for this salad, the main thing is not to use soft and rotten vegetables. Cucumbers should be soaked for an hour in cold, clean water. Then they will be especially crispy in the salad. This salad is one of the easiest and fastest, the salad does not require heat treatment.

Wash cucumbers, soak in cold water, rinse again under running water. Cut off the tips on both sides, cut into a semicircle. If desired, you can leave whole circles or vice versa, cut smaller.

Rinse fresh dill greens under running water and finely chop about 1 centimeter long.

Put all the vegetables in a saucepan or a large cup. Add sugar, salt, vinegar and vegetable oil. Mix well and leave for half an hour to let the cucumbers juice.

Meanwhile, sterilize the jars. It is better to take cans of small volume, no more than 1 liter, so that the salad is eaten by the family immediately and you do not have to store the jar in an open form. Pre-sterilize the jars in a way that is convenient for you (in a water bath, in an oven or microwave). Boil the lids. Arrange the prepared salad along with the marinade in sterilized jars, place the jars in a saucepan with water and a cloth at the bottom, cover with lids.
Step 7:
Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and sterilize for 15 minutes (if the cans are 1 liter). Taking out the cans, immediately tighten the lids. Put them upside down and cover them with a blanket. Leave the jars in this position at room temperature overnight, until the salad cools completely.
