Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

For creamy desserts without the use of gelatin, whipping cream with a fat content of 33% is usually used. And for a denser consistency, cream or cottage cheese is added to them. In desserts with gelatin (for example, panna cotta), only cream with a fat content of 10 to 23% is enough. We will prepare a dessert without gelatin, so we will need: heavy cream (33-35%), soft cream cheese without additives, powdered sugar, cookies and orange.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Crumble or chop the sponge cookies in a blender. If you like a heterogeneous crumb, with small pieces of cookies, it is better to crumble it with your hands. For finely homogeneous crumbs, you will need a blender.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Peel the orange. It is very important that the white soft layer between the orange and the peel is removed, because it is bitter and can spoil the taste of the dessert. Next, disassemble the orange into segments, removing the films between the slices and the bones. Or use a knife and then you do not need to divide into segments, just cut out the pulp of the films covering it (this is clearly visible in the video (from a second).

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Combine the cooled cream cheese with cold cream and powdered sugar. It is very important to use good quality cream, which will definitely rise. Unfortunately, there are manufacturers whose indicated fat content on the package does not correspond to reality and such cream is not whipped even with a special thickener for cream. I usually use cream Parmalat (35%), White City (33%) or Yummy (33%).

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Beat the mass with a mixer at medium speed until medium splendor. At first, the mixture will be liquid, but as you whisk, provided that you have high-quality cream, the mass will slowly begin to thicken. It is not necessary to beat for too long. I whipped for about 6 minutes. The cream turned out to be very tender, not very thick (a spoon is not worth it), but also not too fluid (after the corollas there is a trace that does not tighten).

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Put 2-3 tablespoons of cream in the cremans. Sprinkle the crushed cookies on top. Place the slices of oranges on the cookies. Spread some more cream cheese cream on top. Put the dessert in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Before serving, decorate the creamy dessert with orange slices and mint. Enjoy your meal!

Desserts made of cream and cookies are universal: in summer you can add fresh berries and fruits, and in winter - canned or seasonal, for example, tangerines, cranberries. Oranges are always available, so this dessert can be prepared throughout the year.
