I like to surprise my family with culinary recipes from different cultures. Because every country has its own idea of cooking. Browsing the Internet, I saw a recipe for an amazing drink called "Pomegranate sherbet". It is very popular in Azerbaijani cuisine. And today I want to tell you how to make this unusual drink.
So, I need to boil the syrup. For this I use water and sugar. I also need rose petals or rose hips. I take a half-liter jar and lay it in layers of half a centimeter, covering each layer with sugar or powdered sugar. I pour the syrup that appears into a separate cup, adding sugar to the petals that remain. After I get all the syrup, it is necessary to strain it, pour it into a bowl and cover it tightly with a lid. After that, I let it cool down. I take the pomegranate juice, pour it into the resulting syrup and put it to cool. The most important thing to remember is that one liter of sherbet requires no more than one spoonful of rose syrup or one drop of rose oil.
Your guests and relatives will be charmed by this delicate taste, especially if you serve sherbet in summer, for example, with ice cubes, for a feeling of coolness and a wonderful pink taste. Well, in winter, of course, you can not use it. This taste will remind you of wonderful summer days anyway.
