Step-by-step cooking
It's hard to even remember when and where exactly I got acquainted with the culinary recipe of their vanilla breadcrumbs "Potato" cake. In the 80s of the last century, vanilla crackers were abundant in every deli and were considered one of the favorite treats of schoolchildren, along with corn sticks and flakes. Skillful housewives cooked a lot of things from these crackers. It is no exaggeration to say that these crackers have enriched Russian cuisine with many new culinary recipes. It is even possible that this recipe could have been read by me in some old newspaper. But the fact remains, he wanders from notebook to notebook with me, and now he has firmly settled on a flash drive. It would seem simple food, but the taste does not have time for even the most difficult pastry baking in preparation. In a mixer, I beat soft butter with condensed milk. In the resulting homogeneous mass, I add cocoa and jam syrup. I prefer strawberry or cherry. I pour vanilla crackers and nut kernels into a meat grinder and cook powder from them. As for nuts: it can be walnuts, maybe peanuts or hazelnuts, who has what. I mix the mass, nuts and milk in a blender and form "potatoes", which I sprinkle with cocoa powder. I put the cakes in the freezer for an hour, and when I take them out, I decorate the finished "potatoes" with powdered sugar, and put jam berries on top. If the jam is with bones, then you need to get them. If there is a holiday in the house, cakes made of vanilla crackers "Potato" will be very useful.
